Finished Romeo is a Dead Man. It's rad, I loved it. Crazy as hell and a lot of fun. With the discourse that exploded today, I'll just say, AI cannot do this. The creativity and imagination is off the charts. Oh, the after credits scene is probably the coolest I've ever seen in any game 🥰 #blutoid

One of my least fav design patterns in games that's shockingly pervasive is "punishing" bad gameplay via tedium rather than failure. Devs realized that they can make games more casual friendly if the failure state is just a type of "winning slower" rather than losing, as a consequence even action -

So I rebooted the PS5 which made me reboot the game and it is a night a day difference. Not sure if its another UE5 thing, but damn, it's playing correct now. I've had issues on Xbox as well with the Quick Resume feature (not all games). I guess I'll just always restart games to be safe. #blutoid

I'm really enjoying Romeo is a Deadman, but out of nowhere the performance is all over the place. I don't know if it's UE5, but challenge areas (earn upgrade materials), that I've been through with no issue, were basically slideshows (literally dropping below 10fps)WTF? Super disappointing #blutoid

Never thought I'd see a new Tokyo Xtreme Racer. Do I chance the monkey's paw and wish for a new Way of the Samurai? Katana Kami (the isometric one from like 6 years ago) doesn't count. It's one of my favorite series from the PS2&3. I'd love a true revival. #blutoid #wayofthesamurai

So far, so good. It feels very much like the game I played in 2000 on Dreamcast. This is how I remember seeing it then on my 27" CRT. There's a couple things that could be tweaked with certain options, but the gameplay is just like those older games (arcadey). I went crazy in livery, lol. #blutoid

I consider these the progenitors of genre love for me, not the best. ex: Wolfenstien isn't as good as Doom, but it blew my mind in 1992 and started my love for FPS games #blutoid

Pure sensory overload 😵‍💫 is the only way to explain Romeo is a Dead Man. I've only had a chance to play about an hour and a half, but so much happened in that time that it's kind of overwhelming. Finished Raidou, it holds up very well. Hopefully they do the same treatment for Devil Summoner 2 (the games were named Devil Summoner, at least here in the states on PS2). Funny, I'd never played this first game, but have the collectors edition of 2--came with this plushie. Great game. 👍 #blutoid

I played the demo of Denshattack. It's a ridiculous, silly, nonsense game. It's basically a phone game on psilocybin... And I kinda love it, lol. Perfect game to spend like 30 minutes at a time playing. In short bursts it's super fun. I will definitely buy the full version. #blutoid #denshattack

I love Kazuma Kaneko's design art. It worked perfectly for the lower poly count models from the time. Similarly like Bruce Timm's style for animation. Basically you get a lot out of a little and it holds up very well. I don't like the fixed camera system. Still very much enjoying the game. #blutoid
