I just checked the 100 most recent job ads on various marine biology Facebook groups and jobs boards. 2 involve SCUBA diving. The overwhelming majority of marine biology jobs do not involve SCUBA diving at all. Which means you can follow your dreams even if you medically can't SCUBA dive!

Apparently I make this face a LOT while I’m grading papers. I’m just grinning with joy at a job well done but my kids say this is my “I’m smirking and gonna kick your ass” face. Wha?!

My first pecan pie. I made this one with golden syrup in lieu of corn syrup. A bit sweeter IMO but also a deeper flavor. The bourbon mighta helped.

The household report I few days ago I found a video made by my teenage boys, which showed Woody (of Toy Story fame) being brutally murdered on their bedroom floor. Apparently they got hold of my phone and left me a new video, which is equally freaky. Poor Woody. Poor Woody.
