I went on (in?) Labyrinth of Cinema to sell my unsuspecting hosts and all of you on Jet Li Indiana Jones going through a divorce in Dr. Wai in The Scripture with No Words. The fair number of you out there who don't like this movie are objectively wrong.

Hey I just need y'all to know that I'm still pissed about how hard we failed 28 YEARS LATER: THE BONE TEMPLE. Movie rips, is directed by an exciting director, and continues a story everyone was hot on when it was two dudes running the show. Mad as hell.

A quarter century of living life a quarter mile at a time. With its 25th anniversary today, I look back on THE FAST AND THE FURIOUS and its legacy. Enjoy!

For tonight's Midnight Movie Madness, I am going into the world of Aussie crime cinema with this underseen gem. The filmmaker Thomas M. Wright has only made two features. One is the amazing ACUTE MISFORTUNE. The other, that I am now watching is THE STRANGER.

Ashton Chen has come a long way since the days of SHAOLIN POPEY and THE SAINT OF GAMBLERS (first pic with Donnie Yen). Since then he's been on-and-off, most notably in IP MAN 2 (second pic with Donnie). Now he's leading action flicks (BLACK STORM, third pic) and directing the DETECTIVE CHEN films.

Ugh, I've become sick again (I hate weather changes so much, ugh) and consequently, I won't be seeing SILENCED and THE BLACK BALL tonight. For those in Sydney, I do have a ticket for SILENCED to give away, if anyone wants it.

THE INNKEEPERS is worth the price of admission just to see Sara Paxton dispose trash at a garbage dumpster.
