We need to talk about Tyrese Hall. Tyrese got 19 minutes in the post-season friendly against Newcastle, and everyone that wasn't already aware of his immense talent suddenly took note. He was then included in the pre-season friendly squads. He got 45 minutes and was super-impressive vs Hearts.

The head this kid has on his shoulders is not normal. Played every position under the sun this season to a consistently refined level, at just 18. Mature, assured, composed and relaxed in every single action. Physically blessed with a great engine, solid acceleration and fantastic balance.

Find it hard to think of a better Spurs number 6 performance this season than what Bissouma showed last night. So frustrating because at his best he’s so good, just lacks the consistency. Hopefully he can push on now because he was incredible.

For our winger positions: I think long term squad building wise we should be looking for each side to have one of two profiles.

There is no manager out there available that has a higher ceiling than Ange. There are managers who have a higher floor though. Who would bring stability and consistency. So does Levy REALLY want to be the best team in the league or does he want to win a league cup and qualify for Europe?

Overall these issues come down to the fact that the squad is not big enough and there are still some major profiles missing to make this work. Injury crisis added to that has made it twice as bad.

We should definitely be looking at Tyler Dibling. Would be a fantastic option who can play both sides. - Great 1v1 ability - Good ball striker - Already has a strong end product despite his age - Has that fearlessness to consistently take on his FB regardless of the situation

Maddison incredible today, so composed on the ball, knitting things together and completely shifting momentum by breaking lines. He was so brave, never hid and demanded the ball in really difficult areas. Personality is the most important thing in these big games and he had it in abundance.

My current hot take is that Viktor Gyökeres is getting extremely overrated and his goal record will not translate in higher quality leagues. He’s an extremely powerful runner, fantastic ball striker and has a top mentality.

In my eyes, this is the exact type of game Brennan Johnson was signed for. His speed in transition is devastating and with Chelsea often leaving their right side open (Reece James or Gusto pushing up), I feel Johnson could really shine.
