Wanna explain to new people - why I draw fat birds with bald spots. There's a finite amount of feather growing spots on the skin surface in birds. And it's not a huge amount like fur follicles in mammals. So when bird fattens up so much, skin stretches and feathers no more can cover the bare skin.
