The Trump disbelief that the Norwegian govt doesn't control the Nobel process is deeply indicative of his thinking. He can't conceive that an institution could (or should) be genuinely independent of coercion or political power. That's the change he represents.

It is obvious that Trump is both mentally ill & treasonous, preering Russia and China over the West. We have know that for a long time. What really shocks me is that the elected republicans go along & does not impeach Trump for obviously impeachable acts.

Honestly, I don't think we are doing enough. I see the confederation still full of provincial me-ism and a large swath of the public unconcerned (or worse).

I don't think it is hyperbole to say that there is a critical window over the next 10-20 years where Canada is at great risk of becoming either annexed or otherwise under the political and economic control of the US. We need to move fast and move smart to minimize this risk as much as possible.

Deeply weird and menacing scenes in Minneapolis. ICE agents sat in masks and balaclavas in unmarked, often blacked out cars, watching local residents. They themselves being observed by a network of locals, trying to deter them from mounting raids. Profoundly abnormal.
