What bothers me most about extreme double standards in political rhetoric is that it works. It exploits ignorance & emotion, creating a conflict of interest with systematic research. Disseminating misinformation creates vested interests in sabotaging accuracy & sowing often irreversible ignorance.

I agree with the statements below. I think this is why source material is so important. We are in dire need of developing reliable methods of obtaining & evaluating information. Learning how to learn. Then it's emotional work. Processing it. Integrating. Both intellectual & emotional intelligence.
