Screen Time.

Between last night’s screening in Kingston and tonight’s event in Cornwall I had some extra time. So of course I took a short detour to Ottawa to skate the Rideau Canal! Two loops, 30km, rounded off with a smoked meat sandwich on the ice! Even managed an LRT picture for good fun.

A great turnout last night for our screening in Kingston. The Screening Room is a fantastic theatre (with outstanding popcorn)! Thanks to Social Planning Council Kingston and District and OPPI for putting together this great evening.

McMaster University has posted the email written by the professor to Canadian figure skater Maddie Schizas, granting her an extension on her assignment. “I’d say focus on the competition right now, and submit it directly to me when it is done” This is a really lovely note.

TTC streetcar line openings are a bit like TTC streetcar line operations: You wait years for one line to open and then another comes along right after that! Looking forward to another opening day ride this Sunday! And also excited about the direct connection to the Kitchener Line at Mount Dennis

What a great day of curling at the Scottie’s in Mississauga. Three generations of Doucets were there to cheer on the teams. My son got autographs from every team! Thanks to all teams-win or lose- who stuck around after games to meet with young fans. They will remember this day for a long time!

This composition had eluded me for nearly a decade, but yesterday I was finally able to capture it. A train rolled through just as the Duquesne Incline was crossing over the tracks in #Pittsburgh, creating a picture perfect winter scene. It was worth the hours and hours I've waited over the years.

Today was a good day to go for a walk and blaze a new trail! (Or at least rediscover one buried under snow!) Snyder’s Flats Conservation Area

We will be there! Three generations of Doucets for another opening day ride. And my son and I can take the Kitchener GO Line straight to Mount Dennis and connect to Line 5 there.

Transit update from Waterloo: ION LRT (Route 301) operating normally during these winter conditions. Trains are running every 10 minutes today (as they have been throughout the winter). Switch heaters are working and signal priority in full effect. Photo from the last snow day! Enjoy the snow!
