I tried out GitHub's Copilot agent mode, and it seems to mostly be a wrapper around GitHub Actions, some opaque CLI, and some MCP servers. As such it shouldn't surprise anyone to learn that it doesn't pin its actions dependencies, and has surprising permissions granted to it. Be careful out there!

One thing I had not anticipated in the fight against realistic AI video fakes, was that folks would also start using AI upscaling and compression, which would make legitimate videos harder for folks to distinguish from fakes. Seems like a bit of an own-goal IMO.
