After being held in two of them as a boy, I fought for decades urging America to never again build concentration camps and put human beings in them. It breaks my heart to watch this happen twice now in my own lifetime.

One story that Iโll share from Afghanistan. There was an IED initiated ambush near our FOB. A Canadian soldier was killed in it. An American Kiowa pilot was flying above supporting the QRF response. We were listening on the radio back at the FOB. The calls on the radios are something

Trump's latest Western Hemisphere fixation: Canada
The president has intensified his criticism of Canada in private conversations with aides in recent weeks over what he sees as the country's vulnerability to U.S. adversaries in the Arctic.

Sent to RCL HQ: As a Legion member & a disabled veteran, I want to know why the Castor Br is hosting a โtalkโ by AB separatists. This flies against all the RCL has stood for for over a century. This isnโt the first time that RCL branches have hosted dubious orgs & Natโl HQ needs to get a grip.

Trump can just Fuck right off. The only time NATO has used Article 5 was when the US was attacked in 9/11. Lots of NATO service members served and were killed doing so. For him to say we werenโt there for them is an insult, but I shouldnโt expect anything different from bone spurs.

The US regime is attempting to turn the crimes of the residential schools into a battleground for misinformation and hate. The United States government is not an ally and they cannot be trusted with anything. We must stop the hate from spreading. My latest.

The Halifax Explosion was the largest man-made explosion in human history until the atomic bomb era. To visualize the immense size of that explosion, we can look at the Beirut Explosion of 2020.

Today is a day most people from Halifax wonโt ever forget. My wifeโs grandmother was permanently injured because of the blast her fingers were caught in the desk when the blast occurred. Due to the amount of injuries she never got them looked at. Itโs also the largest LOD of Canadian firefighters.

When Hollywood Does Canada: The Great Escape A great movie from the 1960s, but one that eliminated the 150 Canadians who played a critical role in the escape. Instead, Americans were made the central characters and heroes.

I remember getting to see the tunnels in 2006. My wife and I visited Vimy Ridge and while the tunnels were closed, they would open them if there were Canadians there. It was nice there was only 4 of us (my wife and I and a British couple).

Sounds like they did the best they could in a no win situation. My thoughts also are with all the responding first responders, as a former ARFF firefighter this would be among the worse case scenario you could face.

The generation that experienced WW2 knew how bad things could get. The horrors that they had directly experienced in Coventry, on Omaha, at Belsen, Bastogne, Dresden, Nanjing & Tokyo meant that they understood how dangerous THIS was. This is where all that started.

I'm done. I hope we cut as many ties with the US as we can. Even if the US returns to "normal" in a couple of years it won't undo the damage that he's done. It may be generations before the trust is rebuilt, if it ever is.
