Nordhaus's lifelong ideological project to defend climate polluters from meaningful regulation has been well dissected. But it remains the bedrock of practically all mainstream climate policy (whose academic leadership, surprise surprise, are drenched in fossil-fuel-industry money)

Going back to the Schneider thread, here's a 1999 article he wrote with Tim Roughgarden absolutely shredding the absurd assumptions built into Nordhaus's DICE model. Nordhaus won the 2018 Nobel Economics Prize for his junk science
