Anyone I know who is a younger gamedev in love with XR who is currently doing social video or has experience in the area? Not looking for introductions atm.

Shocked front-facing cameras being used for eye tracking in native system ux on phones is not more of a thing. Both pushing the quality of the front-facing camera and using ml models to improve the tracking like we did in VR spaces. Ux assisted by eye tracking is magical

If I were Android, all my R&D money would go to AI, and my prod resources would go to spatial computing. While I'm not fond of Apple's rebrand of VR, the general term 'spatial computing' is useful, as it includes camera-based, phone, AR, and photogrammetry.

Still recovering from cold. Watching @majormcdoom.bsky.social progress posts funny the Godot Penguin VR thing. Flammable Penguins started as a web comic team in South Africa. Later book company, still going, and now finally my dream games company.

I always tell engineers: Never try to make your code reusable before you know how you'll reuse it. If you just write good/clean code, then making it reusable is trivial when the need arises. Example: interactive leaves -> interactive hair. Easy. #GodotEngine #gamedev #indiedev

This is a good image but one issue is people assume the scale is linear but it's logarithmic. For every game in the top tier there are 100 lvl 9. So on and so forth. Level 4 is achievable for most Devs Level 6 is very hard it's a big gap and most people don't realise how big.

Just saw Hail Mary preview at IMAX. The 70mm film projection is so good. Overall A+ adaptation, only have tiny niggles. Overall best possible adaptation and an easy recommendation to anyone who loves space or sci-fi 💜
