dear industrial designers and the people who approve their designs, not everything that is powered needs a sleep depriving 'on' light. especially things that move or make noise and definitely things that might end up in a person's bedroom. fans, air purifiers, dehumidifiers for instance.

i'm able bodied but i do find the elevators really convenient for moving around with a full bundle buggy. and what a pain in the ass it is when they are out of service. imagine if you had to rely on these

hauled my laundry filled bundle buggy down to the laundromat last night after work. sidewalks were passable but the corners, still a mess. it's been almost 2 weeks. we're expecting more snow. people who need to use mobility devices, use strollers or just need a flat surface to walk are screwed.

it's been 10 days since the big snowfall in toronto. part of Yonge street sidewalks are still only a few feet wide. east york sidewalks are hit and miss and the corners are still piles of snow which have now hardened. but hey, as long as the driver's are not inconvenienced.
