Hmm. I dont think we need Majel Barrett to voice starship computers indefinitely. I like Zora from Disco. Why not let the voice be something set by the Captain? Like how we personalize our phones. Maybe get a male voice. Majel will always be a part of the fandom, but things end & that's okay.

In all honesty, I don't really put much weight in the "bad writing!" argument unless it's incoherent or deliberately talking down to the audience... I don't see Starfleet Academy doing either of those things, so whether I like it or not will come down other factors.
