hit credits on Dragon Warrior VII and it's excellent. Probably my second favorite DQ behind 8, all the stories are just so well-written and fun, the pace is fast, I love the job system, and it's really satisfying as a coming-of-age story. Excited for the remake but I doubt it will top the original

I'm honestly pretty excited for Dragon Quest VII Reimagined but it does annoy me how everyone is talking about the original, the original is great! It's a long game but the pacing is as tight as any DQ and all the little vignettes are great, some of the best in the series

also I picked up the old prima guide and it's really nice having a physical guide while going through one of these games. I'm really only consulting it if I get stuck but having a reference for the jobs and items is so much better than trying to read a gamefaqs on my phone

I'm about 65 hours into Dragon Warrior VII and right now I'd say it's probably my second favorite in the series, behind VIII. I really love the little stories and re-visiting each area to see how things have changed, plus it expands on the job system from VI which I really liked in that game

Sorry but this struck me as the kind of cheap vinyl LP I'd have found in my dad's collection that no one remembered actually buying
