So far he has hunted: an empty CD case, a fake flower, contact lens solution, a remote, a switch controller, and a heat foil pen

Some things here in Sweden are comically more expensive, some are comically cheaper than in Germany. One of the comically more expensive things is boxes: moving, plastic, storage, you name it. It pains me to admit that a) I have opinions on moving boxes & b) the Swedish ones are vastly superior.

Side note, I recently rediscovered her shelter photo from when I adopted her. They reused an old photo from when she previously was in the shelter, so if you ever wondered what Miss Mia looked like at eight years old, here you go!

Today’s cottage delights: the light, the light! Nordic daylight is something special, I can’t explain it, but the cottage gets drenched in what feels like liquid gold and it’s giving me more serotonin than I can adequately articulate.

Today’s cottage adventure: along with a variety of chicken coop illumination, sinks, antique skis and old window panes, we inherited a (checks notes) giant box of pine cones from the previous owners. Short of her having actually been three squirrels in a trench coat, I wonder what these are for.

Okay so, TL;DR for the new faces: we just bought a 1700 something cottage here in Scania and you’re going to hear a lot about it. Most importantly though, the kids just saw it for the first time and had I not already been in love with it, I would’ve fallen in love based on their enthusiasm.
