Before WWII, Germany was the center of the scientific world. Germany had more Nobel laureates than any other nation. German was one of the required languages for scientific discourse. Brain drain is real and a natural consequence of fascist, autocratic rule.

And this is where the rubber meets the road because this is going to require white people to give up authority. And the hierarchy this society runs on has told them that they ARE the authority. So. . . don't hold your breath for a bunch of them to come around.

I keep saying that white people have created the worst society. They keep doing it, centuries over. I don't trust them to build a sustainable equitable society. They've never done it. But, those who WANT a better society can throw their lot in with the non-white groups organizing to build it.

Something that @angryblacklady.bsky.social said years ago that’s stuck with me ever since is that liberation trickles up. Give money and resources with the goal of uplifting the most oppressed among us, and the society that’s built as a result becomes more equitable for everyone.
