Age-old question I’m posing to writers out there. I’m working on a book that is conceptually similar to another published comic, but tonally and thematically different. Do I still pursue the idea or shelve it?

Full-time job at a University with a good salary and great benefits (unlimited mental health coverage!!). Making comics is a money loosening endeavour so for now it is strictly a “hobby.” Leisure time to read, watch a move/show, play video games is a non negotiable. I need my down time to function.

I have (1) full-time graphic design job, (1) part-time graphic design gig (it's freelance but regular work), and several freelance clients besides these. Evident by my comics output in the last year or so, I'm not really succeeding at avoiding burnout or making the comics I want to make...
