in my worldbuilding there are old and new gods. the old are believed to be dead with the only remnants serving as the foundation of magick. leylines are believed to be carved ruins made by blood. the new are seen more as representing different aspects of the world as well as virtues and vices.

eldritch knight on the mind today. knight who's devotion was to old gods. knight who all believe was turned away by the gods but was actually gifted by them. that gift unfortunately just happened to turn them into as much beast as man. a gift that was less in kindness and more for entertainment.
