Writers: it’s the weekend. Stop adding to your word count & do something just as important. Don’t see the weekend as a break in creativity. Use them purposefully to get yourself inspired to start again. Actively seek out those things that spark your passion & set you on fire. This is the BEST work.

If you’re writing crime, thrillers, suspense or even horror, your aim should be to make your reader put their hand over their thumping heart and swear like a 17th century sailor at least once as they read your book. Just once will do. Find your “expletive moment” and make it sing!
