Looking at pitch charts from early in the season vs these past few starts, Shane Baz has really tightened up his CB and it’s tunneling better with his fastball by having less hump and hiding behind it a little longer. Early he was mostly -10 to -16 IVB, recently it’s been a lot of -6 to -12.

There’s been a few questionable pitches, but nobody bats 1.000 and as a whole I’m really liking the game that Basallo is calling tonight. He’s gone FB in quite a few situations that have been traditionally breaking ball spots for Baz this season. Self-scouting on point for this start.
