Farage and his acolytes are skilfully conflating the potential outcome of the Parliamentary investigation (if it finds against him) with the true purpose - to find if there’s been a breach. He says he’s done nothing wrong. If so then the outcome is the status quo (as was). Is that being a victim?

Police are now criticised for ‘discounting’ terror/political motives. As I understand it they said there was then no evidence to suggest either motive. That’s changed. New evidence has now led to a counter terrorism investigation. The police are damned if they do and damned if they don’t.

Farage’s protestations that we’re living in a more dangerous world where those in the public eye must be concerned for their personal safety is true. It would be wise for him to consider whether his own views and actions might have contributed to this sorry state of affairs.

As a retired pharmacist and pedant please can we stop calling the new oral weight loss drug a ‘pill’? Conventional medicines come orally as ‘capsules’ or ‘tablets’. Perhaps ‘caplets’. There are no ‘pills’. Not even the “Pill” is a pill. I haven’t seen these new agents but I bet it’s not a pill.
