Fascinating that people, even on here, hearing about Farage’s ‘youthful/indirectly racist’ comments via the media still manage to make comments about how ‘the media’ are not making this into a story. I worry less about the media and more about those who will support him despite this knowledge.

Farage isn't only a racist, but a bully too. And he's continued that behaviour as an adult. He uses his supportsn as a mob to intimidate those who get in his way. Sometimes online, sometimes in the real world. Add that to his dishonesty and corruption, and it makes his utterly unfit for high office

Trump says that the BBC ‘changed the words that came out of my mouth’. They didn’t. That’s a misrepresentation of the facts. They didn’t even change the sentiment. They did omit a reference to ‘peaceful’ action. But that, whilst there, was not representative of the whole tenor of the speech.

The Panorama edit was poor journalism, not sure how it happened (more than 15 yo when I worked there we all had to go on a course because someone made the Queen look grumpy about something in the wrong order). But of all of it, this is the only piece I’ve read that properly nails the issue…
