We had a great time celebrating world book day last week, the children got involved in a book swap and a live morning quiz, along with many other reading related activities📚

Finally we explored colour changing reactions and reactions with a catalyst 🥼

Doing some numeracy outdoors, measuring how long it takes to run/walk a certain distance to calculate our speed. We has great fun applying our knowledge in this conext 🏃

Fun with Fractions - We used concrete materials this morning to explore different fractions thinking about up we can apply our knowledge to real life problems! 🍕

To celebrate the Lunar new year, P6/5 decided on an animal from the Chinese zodiac to create with kapla 🐴🐉🐍

Announcement: Due to timetable changes P6/5 completed a PE session today and do not need to wear kit tomorrow. The second PE session this week will be held on Friday instead of the usual Wednesday (as this is Christmas jumper day I have asked children to bring/wear a T-shirt as they may be warm.)

P6/5 worked brilliantly in their teams today during our Slilks Acadamy. They focussed on the skill critical thinking where they evaluated the function of their wind turbine and were able to discuss what worked well and what could be improved 😃
