I took a look at the selected indies this year, and checked out the demo for TIMEMOON. I'll definitely wrote about this later, but it was a really strong demo that can be best described as Back to the Future meets No Case Should Remain Unsolved and Danganronpa. Definitely one to keep an eye on.

Thinking again how much it rules that the mangaka in charge of Persona 1's adaptation (Ueda Shinshuu) created a depiction of Nyarlathotep that basically melds perfectly with Persona 2, by sheer virtue of pulling from the same original mythology that P2's writers did.

Kemono Teatime is a phenomenal game about smiling, catering to others and tea. The sheer amount of dread this game tosses at you when it lays it's cards on the table is insane. And I cried during like, all of january.

Completed Varlet. This is the worst that Furyu has ever done it. The game's best is whatever they scrape off of Monark's shoe. I'm tired. Good vocal ost, and a fun cast, but it is severely undercooked even when it isn't outright bad.

i think it's dire that the gambling-inspired gacha game got people to care about the real life vehicles for gambling because it significantly softens the image of that form of gambling into something other than "animal abuse so that bookers can become rich"
