I enjoyed PROJECT HAIL MARY well enoughâRyan Goslingâs charisma could power galaxies. But Rocky was so cutesy. I felt like it couldnât decide if it wanted to be a childrenâs film or a film for grownups. Did the book have this problem?

Iâm just gonna say it. Drag Race relies too much on lip synching. I understand that thatâs its whole âdeal.â But the wrong queen went home tonight because she couldnât do a backflip.

I love that Riz Ahmed is explicitly campaigning to be Bond. And you know what? I'm here for it. He'd be a great Bond.

I thought the most recent (bottle?)* episode of LOVE STORY was extraordinary (save for Carolyn's loneliness resembling a VOGUE spread). They really captured how couples' argue with hurt feelings and escalating crueltyâall from a place of self-protection. *

The commercial where the guy says his heart kept skipping a beat but he âdidnât give it much thoughtâ drives me insane. HIS HEART!! Are there actually men like this? Or is he just a strawman for this idiotic commercial?

This week's New Yorker includes my profile of Lisa Kudrow, an actress I've been thinking about since 8th grade, when I started talking like Phoebe Buffay at school. Sheâand Valerie Cherishâare back with the delicious final season of "The Comeback." I was on set. đ

I have enormous faith in Barack Obamaâs decency, intelligence, and probity and I wouldnât even want HIM to have the amount of unchecked power that Donald Trump has. Iâll never forgive the people who let this madman seize king-like powers.

As a classical cellist, I am singularly unbothered by whatâs TimothĂ©e Chalamet said. He was just trying to be oh-so edgy and cool. Somewhat embarrassing for him, but hardly cause for an international summit.
