Somehow my first time at the Vagabond Players. After last weekend’s 3 hour and 15 minute August Wilson play at Spotlighter’s, I’m happy for a 90 minute no intermission show.

I feel like there must be some social media thing going around about 2016 because I keep seeing lots of posts across multiple platforms about 2016. Unrelated, today I realized I've been creating streaming music playlists for the music I love that comes out each year. That's all I have to contribute.

Really digging this new Courtney Marie Andrews song. I don't actually want to be someone who just sails through life without caring about how I'm affecting anyone else, but I certainly think a lot about how it must be so freeing to not have a conscience.

I haven't been here for awhile because I don't think it's a good place to be anymore. I probably won't stay, but feel like whining about the car accident we were in last night that will be stressing me out until its resolved with the insurance company in who knows how long.

I find it hard to separate out feelings about AI being detrimental in so many ways from wondering if part of it is just because I've now reached the age where I'm old and tired and don't want to deal with things that are going to upend everything I do. This site doesn't help because it's so anti AI.

What the hell is happening? This is all insane. We could have just been living a nice little life with the Harris/Walz administration, but instead we get to wake up to new horrors every day and the only people who have real power to do anything are like 🤷🏻‍♀️

I feel like at this point Six Feet Under and Newhart are gimmes. So for something more recent the finale of Somebody, Somewhere was perfect and even more amazing because they didn’t know it was the finale.

I like that I basically found out that Harbaugh was out by all the joke posts about who should be the Ravens next head coach. I figured if I scrolled back long enough I would probably eventually find an actual announcement.

It's really nice to come back to work and have one of the first emails I read be from a professor asking me to do a copyright session for her students this semester because the last time she taught the course the presentation I did was incredible.

Last time they specifically asked me if I wanted my next appointment to be with the PA or the doctor and I still got the PA today. After 22 years it might be time to find a closer rheumatologist. I drove 35 minutes for a 30 second appointment.

Pretty good new year so far

My husband and I went for a walk around the neighborhood and a chunk of bread fell from the sky and hit me in the chest. I’m guessing a bird must have dropped it because we weren’t in immediate proximity to any people or buildings. I don’t know what this portends for my 2026.

I’m not much for resolutions. The last time I set a goal was to do 20 new things in 2020 and that set off a global pandemic to stop that in its tracks. But this year I’ve decided to make my resolution visiting every book store in Baltimore. Time to make a list.

We had friends stay over last night. I’m making us waffles while everyone else is discussing what enters the public domain today.

2025 had a lot of terrible in it. Far too many deaths of people I know in the first quarter bookended by health issues that are really messing me up physically and mentally plus the weight of everything going on in the world. But when I think back on the year I mostly come up with a lot of good.

Finally made it home at 1 am last night. Now I can finally watch the final episode of Heated Rivalry and start this week of doing nothing. My husband and I are both off so I feel like we should do something at some point, but I don’t know what. Also his birthday is this week.

We may never leave this airport. We’ve been on the plane for a half hour, but they discovered frost on the wing on a night they weren’t expecting it so Southwest with their 5 gates here as no one working who can de-ice it. So now they’re waiting for HQ to find a subcontractor through another airline

Our flight and previous flight to Baltimore are both delayed and now leaving at almost the same time in adjoining gates. No one knows which plane is theirs and half the people don’t realize there are two flights and are really confused.
