Shout out to the days when my weekend throwing down in the kitchen breakfast was biscuits and gravy on Saturdays. My current french toast Sundays go hard, but I should bring this back every so often.

This morning was a good proof of concept. I was able to get my two big lifts in before breakfast. A lot went right. The dog got me up a little before my alarm. It's my first time on this lift so I had no plates to rack. I may have to prep breakfast between sets in the future, but the time is there.

Dropped the kiddo off with Grandma and had date night dinner out with wifey where the waitress got all the details on who did her hair. Time to go home and watch a little TV with wifey to close out the night and get some sleep. 😪😴

I feel like I did nothing today, but that's all stupid brain being stupid. I got a little gaming in. I did LEGO with my son. I went on a 2.5 mile jog. I read a little bit. It's been a good day. My brain is just obsessed with this idea that I was unproductive today.

I think I'm ready to say waking up at 5:30 is a bust. I think 6am is my sweet spot for when I go to sleep. I have a plan for exercise in the morning though. Now to just figure out some space for studying for personal and career related projects. I'm eyeing a full WFH position. Would help immensely.

I had a list of things I was going to get done in the morning before work and I've already started reducing that list. As long as I can get the key items done (walk the dog and, on WFH days, weight lift) it's better for me to rest.

Did my first two rounds of Arc and got my ass rocked. 🤣 Need to get better at avoiding those flying boys. To be fair in the second game I met up with someone and they triggered the flying boy and I went to help. Great fun so far, wish my lunch break wasn't ending.

My weight lifting has been inconsistent since I scheduled my surgery last year. I'm aiming to bring consistently back to it and I'm trying something that didn't work for me ages ago, weight lifting first thing in the morning. So far so good, and it feels great knowing I'm already done for the day. 💪
