Silent Hill f is, so far, peak Silent Hill as far as the vibes and atmosphere goes, they've captured it masterfully. Gameplay is Silent Hill 2 Remake with a better melee system - no, it's not a fucking soulslike, I keep seeing that regurgitated for some reason. 😭 60s Japan is the perfect setting.

The Beast - done. 🫡 The developer estimate of 40 hours for a "I've seen it all playthrough" of Dying Light The Beast is accurate. Those estimates generally aren't precise from my experience, but I'm glad it was. Such a nice change of pace to have a well-designed and tight open world structure. 1/7

Seems like we have another banger on our hands this year if the reviews are anything to go by for Silent Hill f. 2025 has been one of the best years ever with new games for me. Not only are we getting a ton of games, but they're GREAT, too. And we're not even done. I love games. 🙏

Just got my key for Silent Hill f from GMG. I'm excited for this one. Well, I'm excited for just about any game lmao, but even more so when it comes to survival horror and either Resident Evil or Silent Hill. The previews/reviews look DOPE. And 60s Japan as a setting had me sold instantly. 🤞

I think I'll give Dying Light 2 another chance sometime in the future. The Beast has me craving more. I was hyped for it since I loved the original, but I bounced off HARD due to the "new" gameplay and story. I know they've overhauled it a bit since. So that will be nice to revisit.

Dying Light The Beast might be one of the biggest surprises for me this year. I expected it to be ranging from okay to good. But so far, it's been outstanding. The story is good, gameplay is fanstastic. Gunplay is crisp. I didn't know how much I missed a high quality zombie game until I got it.

Vex balled and won. 😌 Rolled credits on Borderlands 4's story. It was good. Might be my favorite story in the series. The Timekeeper doesn't reach Handsome Jack levels, but he's a great villain, too. I will be returning to this for a long time. Ton of post-game content + events, expansions, etc.

I've been fully locked into Borderlands 4 today. This will definitely be my longterm kind of game from now on - just returning for the grind, challenges, events, etc. BUT I do want to knock out the story. So that's what I've been focusing on and I think I'm fairly close to the end now. 😌

Truly having the time of my life with games this year. My current rotation are these two beauties. DL The Beast is working for me in ways that I did not expect after how hard I bounced off DL2. It's immaculate. Borderlands 4 is DOPE, too. Can't wait to add Silent Hill f to that next week. 😌

The setting of Dying Light The Beast - Castor Woods, a fictional locale somewhere in the Alps is such a nice change of pace to Villedor from DL2. This map is well-designed and flows well - a town, forests, mountains, rivers, farmlands, and more. The Beast is exceeding my expectations by a lot. 🧟

I'm happy to say that we are hella back with Dying Light The Beast. It feels closer to the first game than the second, and that's all I wanted from it. The story here is intriguing from the get go, I admittedly did not care for the story in 2 whatsoever. And my boy Kyle Crane is back. 🥹

Been replaying Metroid Dread lately - as I often do at this time of the year. It's brought one caveat I have with the Switch 2: The upgrades roll out has been pretty slow. I honestly expected most of the "big" titles to get one at this point. The load times are jarring, as are the jagged visuals.

I might've been unhinged and stayed up until 3am to finish Hollow Knight Silksong - and I have achieved 100 %. 🥹 Masterpiece, in every sense of the word. I'll be playing this for years - just like the original. I've fully finished both games now. I'm hella excited for the DLCs of Silksong.
