I’ve often wondered why JT called the 21 election 2 years early. I now believe he has a crystal ball and saw how things would go if he kept to the 4 year mandate. A 23 election would’ve put Cons in power, probably with a majority to kneel to Trump, which he also saw coming.

Sometimes I think I cook turkey for Christmas dinner solely so I can eat this the next day. Cold turkey, stuffing and cranberry sauce on a crusty bun.

I’m fortunate enough to have the time between Christmas and New Year’s off work. I love this lawless time with no rules. Lemon meringue pie for breakfast? Sure, why not. Also love that I won’t have to cook for a few days. Leftovers galore.

Stuffed to the gills from dinner but I just can’t help myself.

My husband saved Christmas dinner. I’m in the kitchen trying to get everything timed right. Turkey breast (it’s just the two of us) is half hr from being done, he opens the fridge to get milk for his coffee and casually asks when the stuffing is supposed to go in because it was still in the fridge.

Appointment to have our 1 yr old GSD spayed today. She’s been through one heat cycle. Guess who started bleeding this morning? Now for a week of moody, sucky, bitchy dog in diapers. Yay.

As I set up my tree yesterday, I was reminded of the time my daughter who was around 10 at the time, cut her face out of one of her wallet size school pictures and taped it to the angel’s face on top of the tree. Grateful that the sassy smart kid grew up to be a sassy smart woman.
