This is what I don't get - in CA, IL, and now MN the mayor and governor get in front of cameras and complain vociferously about ICE brutality, then 20 min later local and state cops are in the streets violently gassing and beating the same peaceful protestors.

Here's what continues to confuse me. I watched Walz's speech earlier decrying the violence by the Feds, but then he deploys his own state police to stand shoulder-by-shoulder with them as they attack peaceful citizens with bullets, grenades, and chemical weapons in a residential neighborhood.

ICE was created when there was real fear of sleeper cells that needed to be rooted out, and INS had just allowed a bunch terrorists to do 9/11 under their noses and clearly wasn't up to the task. They used extreme measures, but we allowed it because it seemed necessary and hence reasonable.
