This may sound primitive and unscientific, but through the fairies we could ask Mothra to help.

I can believe it was animated on paper. And the backgrounds were painted with real materials. But it’s clearly digitally composited. Which is fine. It’s still an amazing piece of animation. But, most obviously, who the fuck has a multi plane camera in 2026?

I guess Dan Simmons died and I had to look him up and realized I read his book Children of the Night in the 90’s. Which doesn’t even have a Wikipedia summary. Which already says a lot. And everything I’m hearing today about him makes me glad i never latched onto to his writing.

Watched No Other Choice tonight. VERY interesting movie. If I explained it, the plot would seem straight forward and simplistic. But the execution is like an 11 act play. It doesn’t make sense until you get 2/3rds of the way through.
