With just a week left before release, I wanted to share some cool in-world concept art for The Fox's Crown. This is a lodestone throne, using the repelling power of magnets to hover in midair. Reserved for the Magnis of Isken, it's the latest invention of the Makers, Isken's famed artisan class.

I was today years old when I found out about the IG Nobel prize awards, which are like parodies on the Nobel prize held each year a week before the real thing. There's prizes for crazy stuff like researching whether being drunk lets you speak foreign languages better (spoiler: it does!). Hilarious.

Had someone who knows a bit about cartography look at my book maps the other day. Turns out the rivers flow in ways that aren't really possible in real life 😂 Guess I'm lucky I write fantasy 🔮

Hello all! After a lot of hard work by @merilliza.bsky.social, the cover for The Fox's Crown is finally complete! All that remains now is to add the title and book blurb, but I wanted to show off the artwork by itself first. Expect more news about the release date soon, but for now, enjoy the art!

Pro tip: Don't start a Baldurs Gate 3 campaign if you want to get any writing done that week 😂 Honestly a great game and so similar to real Dungeons and Dragons that I'm seriously impressed at the developers. Definitely worth a try if you have any spare time

Now onto the first draft of The Fox's Crown cover art by @merilliza.bsky.social. We went for a combination of thumbnails B and D, so we have the heroic stance but also the cool lanterns on the ship. Expect a lot more colors, but the composition probably won't change much for the final version.

Just made a Tidal account, it works practically the same as Spotify but has slightly better audio quality. It also pays the artists on it more, which is great because I listen to far too much music and like to know at least some of that revenue goes to the artists I love.
