An otherworldly landmark you can find in the Los Angeles area is the Watts Towers. It is a series of 17 interconnected structures built by Italian immigrant Sabato (Simon) Rodia from 1921-1954. It remains a prime example of outsider art (Art Brut) and Italian-American naïve art.
