RIP Tomas Lindberg.. an absolute legend. Dude was a part of *at least* three genre defining bands through his career, what a fucking loss. At the Gates changed music for so many people, including me. Far too young.

I've had to have phone conversations with family members on how they should approach dealing with hateful rhetoric coming out in group chats over the last 24hrs. On one hand, I'm glad I'm considered safe by the people I love. On the other, it's sad that it's family they need advice about.

There is no "male loneliness epidemic". At least not one caused by women. It's just guys who don't know how to talk to women complaining. This isn't some new phenomenon. Social media just lets them complain to a wider audience and we all have to see it now.

Part of the reason why I love the idea of the folk metal genre so much is that any culture can take the heavy sound of metal and include their own cultural instruments and style to make something unique to them. Botswana, Finland, India, Brazil, Taiwan... All different styles but still all "Metal".
