Andrew Saint was working on the Survey of London volumes for Battersea when I started working for Wandsworth. He was always helpful and knowledgeable, and at the book launch said lovely things about our work that showed how much he appreciated archives.

My eye has been irritated all day, and it turns out not to be a scratch but something embedded in my cornea, which is absolutely horrifying. So now I’m in A&E waiting for an on call ophthalmologist to sort it out. Also horrifying.
