Recently we had a history event at the church, and lots of visitors came by, and I was explaining to one of them that the guys helping out with refreshments were from Iran and so might hold out their phones for her to speak into to get it translated and help them understand what she was saying.

Question for #archivists. Are white gloves still routinely used in America? I'm reading a book by an author I usually love, and there's a scene where characters are given gloves to handle a document. Wondering if it's different practices in other countries?

Lots of work challenges recently (and ongoing) but today I officially closed a project which had been running 3.5 years. That feels like win!
