GMS wants to buy shadow fleet tankers. I have a better idea: Shadow fleet tankers get seized with no compensation for owners:

No flag No insurance No problem! Rustbucket zombie-tanker ARCUSAT/TAVIAN/TIA will enter Baltics in ~3 days. This will be her third fetch of Russian oil since October. No flag, no state, no identity and no registry -> she is basically lawless. Some would even argue states have obligations here.

Posted this a couple months ago. I don't think it's changed. This is the reality that neither the US not Danish governments seem to be talking about much because it's more entertaining to talk about crazy military action following Maduro's capture:

US must have made a deal with Venezuelan military. Would explain the rather easy capture of Maduro (maybe military had already taken him into costody). And would explain how Trump thinks US will be able to “run” Venezuela

Exactly. In reality, there is no choice for Zelensky, because accepting Trump's plan is off the table. What this statement is about is mobilizing the public both at home and abroad.

Russia is trying to capture Pokrovsk (prewar pop. 50k) for 15 months and Kupiansk (20k) for 3 yrs. We keep hearing they will fall "any day now", but even if they do - how long Russia will fight for Kramatorsk (150k) and Sloviansk (100k)? Russia can't take the rest of Donbas by force before 2030.

Jokes aside, it’s just phenomenal how massively Russia has lost goodwill and influence in Armenia. In 2013, 82 percent of respondents thought Russia to be Armenia’s best friend and protector. In 2025 the number is 14 percent. It’s a historic opportunity that we can’t miss in Europe
