Is anyone else going out to their city protest this Saturday April 5th? I plan to attend mine in Buffalo, I'm hoping for a big turn out. Last protest we had fairly decent numbers.

I have to vet people that my children spend time with because of the world we live in. (Mainly the parents and then by extension the kids) It's lonely & sad, if I'm being honest. I am grateful for the parents who are open to having the conversations to keep our kids safe though.

Debating on going on subreddits for workers of jobs and planting seeds of unions lol. I thought of this when talking to my best friend who works in the kitchen at Dave & Buster's. She's pregnant and I've been appalled at how she's been treated throughout her pregnancy. She's been there for 8 years.

Started ethics training this week. As I progress towards this goal, I'm feeling pride and fear. Change has always scared me. I know it's healthy fear and I will continue to step outside of my comfort zone to be better. Sometimes I feel like I'm in a fever dream because of how far I've come.

I had some heavy grief come up in therapy today and it was super uncomfortable. I cried and held space for my inner child and my past self, who went through a lot of rough circumstances. I'm allowing myself to do that work and I'm really proud of that.

If you're not using someone's proper pronouns when they're not around, you don't respect them. A learning curve can be given grace but blatantly ignoring someone's pronouns just because they left the room reeks of transphobia.

I always found it odd that some people used the term "safe space" as if it were bad. What's wrong with having safe spaces? Oh, we can express our emotions & not be ridiculed, judged & persecuted but instead feel validated & heard? That's a weird hill to die on. Did you want to talk about it? 🫣

I'm anti-whatever the hell this system is today. I'm anti-hurting marginalized groups and doing things that are counterproductive to benefiting the ones who need it most. I'm anti-patriarchy because it hurts EVERYONE, including men and boys. Don't align with that? Don't follow me.

We talked about privilege in my training last night. I found myself triggered and lost sight of my skills. I realized some in that room couldn't see the impact of privilege/power on marginalized groups and that hurt me. I had to practice radical acceptance. I care too deeply at times I think lol.
