Having been employed at the same clinic as @guyfelicella.bsky.social when i started working in the dtes, guy has always been a tireless advocate for people who are ignored, misunderstood and mistreated. Postmedia pulling his op piece for flimsy defamation concerns is ridiculous but not surprising.

Last night we were downtown on Granville street and some people were yelling, being aggressive, pissing on the side of a building, and all tweaked out on alcohol ... I bet you thought I was referring to a homeless drug user? Nope!! I'm pretty positive these people all have homes.

Homeless folks have been stigmatized and treated unfairly forever. Having a home shouldn’t be a requirement to be treated with kindness, compassion, and understanding. This is what kindness looks like ❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️
