2025 was neither an all-time high for me nor an all-time low. Dealt with some new stressors, had some good times. Some things in my life are better than they’ve ever been! Nevertheless there’s a lot of uncertainty hovering over my future (and my family’s!) and no guarantee of a stable 2026.

Replaying Xenogears in 2025, all I can think of is how WILDLY ambitious it is — like, sure, they bit off more than they could chew and couldn’t finish it, but it’s because they bit off SO MUCH. The game’s art direction is so impressive.

The important thing to know about my Steam roundup for 2025 is that it's like 40% Civ VI (the only game I still play with friends) and is like 55% percent Trails games (Crossbell Arc and first half of Erebonia arc). I did squeeze Etrian Odyssey II in there over the summer.
