I only realized today that the "French" in "French vanilla ice cream" doesn't have to do with a kind of vanilla; rather, it's about the method of making the ice cream (i.e., the "French" method, which uses a cooked custard). I've made it many times and somehow never figured this out.

Near my office there's a medical center. It is known by its initials. There is a traffic light at its main entrance and, rather than use the medical center's full government name, the sign uses the initials. So far, so good.

I've been to this museum in many places.

Like a lot of people in my generation, I learned on a manual but have been using automatic so long now I probably can't remember how to use a manual one anymore.
