If anything, having both my husband and I severely allergic to bee stings has made me learn how to stay calm and rational in scary situations. Regular, not really severe situations, I'm still kind of a wreck.

Today would have been Astrid's 8th birthday. We tried so hard to keep her with us. She had mammary cancer and epilepsy. She had 3 surgeries and kept me company as I hobbled around on 1 foot. She was always happy to make new friends and had the wiggliest butt. She was the best, I miss her so much.

Every time I think, maybe the neighbors are done with the fireworks, I'm wrong. They have been going for 4 hours straight. They also started this morning at 9 am. We're over it and tired. It's been raining, but that hasn't stopped them either. I feel bad for the animals.

The world is horrible, but I was able to help two pups find their way home today! They were on the run since 6:30 this morning. We also live near a 43,000-acre wildlife refuge. So I'm glad Louis and Claude decided to stop by our place today. They escaped the dog sitters yard and went on an adventure
