I remember a time when I heard my cousin got struck by her dad for having a diary. I was 12 and was on a family vacation to Vietnam. I kept a diary of my own too; it filled me with sadness and fury. Lately, I find myself wanting to rechannel that fury with everything I hear on the news thes days.
