Regis and Supercuts salons are offering free hair cuts to anyone donating at least 12 inches of their long locks to LPT! Carla Whelan, pictured, is the CEO of the salon chain who recently underwent treatment for breast cancer. Through her experience, she saw the positive impact wigs can have.

Thrilled to have contributed to ground-breaking research led by Dr Joan Boyes (@universityofleeds.bsky.social‬), just out in Nature (‪@nature.com‬)! 🧬 We show that tiny DNA fragments, naturally cut from the genome, can linger—causing more damage & helping leukaemia progress.

Alistair McGowan has become the latest person to support LPT in our 20th year. Hereford's Castle House hotel was the venue for a fantastic afternoon of observations and impressions while Mr McGowan also performed many of the poems from his book, Not What We Were Expecting.

As a paediatric nurse, Abby Criddle has always been passionate about LPT. “Caring for children affected by cancer and other serious conditions has shown me firsthand how much strength they possess,” she said. As well as donating her lovely long locks, Abby raised an incredible £1,050 for LPT.

Alistair McGowan, the comedian and writer, will be performing a selection of his poems at the Castle House in Hereford from 3pm to 5pm on June 24 to support our work. Tickets, including afternoon tea and a signed copy of his book, can be bought by calling 01432 356321.
