#OnThisDay 11th November 2017, 11 year old twins in a den on a walk in local woods. These dens are made by the local kids and added to/altered regularly. I wish life was still so simple.

#OnThisDay 10th November 2016, my daughter with one of her hens. We used to rehome ex commercial hens when they came to the end of their profitable lives - only about 18 months. Our eldest one lived to 9 years old. I’m not sure which one this was but E would be able to name her. ☺️

#OnThisDay 6th November 2021, a slightly annoyed looking bluetit being gently held in my daughter’s fingers. She was training, under licence, to ring birds for scientific research. They are released unharmed after weighing, measuring and recording. Bluetits are one of the most feisty, bitey birds.

#OnThisDay 1st November 2016. My then 10 year old daughter at her riding lesson on Black Jack. He was one of her favourite naughty ponies. She has her usual serious, deep concentration expression on and Black Jack looks as though he’s plotting his next naughtiness.

My upcycled kitchen island, made from old school science cupboard, free salvaged Belfast sink rescues from landfill, bespoke sink/dishwasher hoisting made by local carpenter and reclaimed scaffold board worktop. I painted it Stiffkey blue and it’s still going strong. 🙂

#OnThisDay 24th October 2022. Now yesterday, which actually was 24th, I thought it was 25th. So today I am posting yesterday’s photo if that makes sense…A then 7 year old Maggie with my daughter, reluctantly being picked up for a kiss. She’s a bit of a moody madam (Maggie) but we love her anyway. 😍

I have one of Gill’s wool mix blankets - a beautiful canal boat stripe in lovely bright colours. I needed a new one for watching cricket matches this summer (it gets surprisingly chilly and cricket goes on for soooooo long!) It is so warm and snuggly and it makes me smile every time I look at it. 🙂

#OnThisDay 25th October 2020: Collecting my brave Ivy from the vets after a mastectomy to remove all but two of her doggie boobies. We had found lumps a few days earlier and a biopsy revealed extensive breast cancer. She is still with us, no recurrence of the cancer now 13 yrs old, well but blind.♥️

Agreed. Also, other parties spend way too much time discussing reform in the time given to them. Just don't. I want to hear what You will do for us, not what reform is doing that you disagree with.

#GardensHour this was my Covid project. I had absolutely loads of odd ceramic tiles and broken crockery. I smashed it all up and made a patio (?). The bricks in the spiral were all found around my garden. It had solar fairy lights around the brick spiral too.
