I’ve been waiting for anything from this studio for about 6 years now. Better shut them down because they didn’t recreate Fortnite or whatever. This whole industry’s obsession with live service fucking sucks. With rare exceptions, I just play old shit, and it isn’t just for nostalgia at this point.

Testing an idea out here. Displaying the Steam Deck onto the Trinitron. Seems to work fine, even though I don’t have much use for playing modern games this way. Great for weird emulation though. I just need to figure out how to get MAME working on emudeck so I can play Simpsons arcade, ad nauseam.

Resolutions are for failing right? That’s why I’ve decided 2026 is the year I finally play through all of the Final Fantasy series (or at least 1-10). The mind altering gummy I took last weekend told me it was a cool idea to buy the pixel remaster collection. FF1 is surprising me in its simplicity.

The Switch 2 reveal is baffling. How do you not have a new Mario game ready to go? Donkey Kong looks ok I guess but that’s a year 2 ass game in my book I went from being excited to preorder this shit to, well, still probably going to preorder it, but now I get to feel like a rube again I guess

I haven’t looked up reviews but is Monster Hunter Wilds any good? Is it better on PC or PS5? I’m so out of the loop with new games these days. I liked Worlds a fair deal but didn’t like how clunky the online felt (coming from Destiny I guess). Is that any better at all *I ask into the void*

I don’t often talk books but I’ve been making my way through Stephen King’s The Dark Tower series for the first time. I love it very much. I’m almost done with book 4 and it made me openly weep. I know you *all* think I’m strong, manly, brave, courageous, gallant, and Ramboesque - but it hit me hard

Getting back into Street Fighter 6. I’m no good!

On a whim I decided to give Doom 1 + 2 a try. I’ve of course played the original games back in the 90’s and again on Xbox Live Arcade. Never beat them but figured “yeah I get it.” Holy shit - I didn’t get it. I’ve made it to the third episode of the first game and it’s all I’m thinking about now.

You know what’s so scary about the Joker? He thinks crime…… is funny.

Went to the doctor for a check up on my blood pressure and then came home to edge the sidewalk in the front yard. Anyhoo, being an adult is bullshit.

Everyone is strongly encouraged to come hang out in my basement bar. I put together an AV Cart that I’m immensely proud of. The cart includes: 27” Sony Trinitron, SNES, N64, GameCube, Dreamcast, Saturn, Genesis/Sega CD, PS2, PS3, NES, VCR/DVD, and most recently a LaserDisc player - all ready to go.

As far as game stuff: 2024 is the year I’ve gone almost entirely in on Steam and PC gaming. Picked up a Steam Deck in March and it’s my favorite purchase in a long time. I’ve, of course, loaded it full of emulated games. I love cataloguing and selecting proper box art and folders. Soothes my brain.

I need to make the full on switch to this app. It’s gotten so excruciating just scrolling the other place that I can’t even believe it. The problem for me now is that I think it has stunted my brain from even attempting to write down my ordinary thoughts. I need to retrain myself. Keep it simple.
