It's my monthly(ish) 'maybe if I mention my book some people might buy it' post. If you are partial to spooky tales in which rotten types discover uppences are come (okay, that doesn't work), or - as quoted - "enjoy quintessentially British ghost stories and weird tales", I think you'll enjoy.

And, to the other side: if you feel the urge to complain about people using mute, or block, or block lists, or just turning their goddam phone off, may I suggest you put your own sodding phone down and do *literally* anything else for ten minutes.

We can all find our own ways to do good in the world. That might be charity support, that might be creating art, making a friend laugh, helping a neighbour. Any and all of those things are more worthwhile than whining about users who choose not to read other people’s social media rants.

Because I’ve seen more than one passive-aggressive post along these lines: protecting your mental health by not looking at certain things is not “privilege”. There is nothing more important than your own health. Ensure your own oxygen mask is in place before helping others, and all that.
