At the request of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, the UK, Germany, Ireland and Norway, the UN Human Rights Council will gather on Friday to discuss the extreme violence in and around #Sudan's El Fasher. The atrocities committed against civilians demand our fullest attention.

The escalating violence in El Fasher has dramatic consequences for hundreds of thousands of civilians. An immediate ceasefire - in El Fasher, Darfur and throughout #Sudan - is of paramount importance. Civilians must be protected, allowed safe passage and get access to aid. 1/2
