This morning, Ambassador Claudia Fuentes-Julio, Permanent Representative of Chile and member of the IGC Global Board, hosted a breakfast meeting with Permanent Representatives of Feminist Foreign Policy member states to discuss the #INTGenderChampions and strategise for joint action.

Thirty years since the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action, the vision for gender equality remains urgent and unfinished. Some of our #INTGenderChampions spoke at today’s commemorative event at the Palais des Nations. Global leaders reaffirmed their commitment to the Beijing+30 Action Agenda

What’s next for the IGC? Last Thursday, over 30 #INTGenderChampions and Focal Points in Geneva came together to imagine the future of our network as part of our #LighthouseStrategy consultations.

As part of our #IGC10Years campaign, we spotlight Ambassador Christian Fellner, Austria’s Ambassador to Kenya. Reflecting on his own lifetime of change, he reminds us that while laws for gender equality have advanced rapidly in recent decades, their implementation is still “in incubation.”
