The work of UN organisations and other humanitarian partners is invaluable for Gaza and the region. I welcomed their tireless efforts under difficult circumstances. We discussed the peace plan and the challenges at hand, including humanitarian access.

Discussed with Foreign Minister Cho Hyun our close ties and strategic partnership with the Republic of Korea. We expressed concerns about DPRK-Russia cooperation and highlighted our joint efforts for stability and security in the Indo-Pacific and Europe.

Russian cyber attacks against Ukraine are not isolated incidents. This hybrid warfare campaign endangers European security. The UK is our valued partner in strengthening Ukraine's resilience. Today, the Netherlands announced €10 million for the UK’s Ukraine Cyber Programme. 1/2

Last night a new wave of Russian drones and missiles hit homes, energy facilities and killed ordinary people in Ukraine. Russia is not serious about peace. With winter approaching, we must stand firm in our support for Ukraine and keep up the pressure on Russia.

Ukraine’s future is in the EU. I discussed the importance of keeping up the pace of reforms with Deputy PM Taras Kachka. We will continue to support Ukraine in doing so. The Netherlands will host the next edition of our bilateral Lviv Conference, to provide practical support.

At IDLO, I announced €9 million for the project ‘Restoring Dignity and Justice in Ukraine’. Through this contribution, we support Ukraine's prosecution of international crimes through its national justice system. This is crucial for achieving accountability. 1/2

President Zelensky, your country's resilience and drive for peace is truly impressive. The Netherlands will continue to stand with you in this fight for freedom, sovereignty and territorial integrity. Only Ukraine decides what kind of peace deal is acceptable for Ukraine.

Discussed with Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar the urgency of full implementation of the peace plan. It is essential that the ceasefire holds, that Hamas returns the deceased hostages as soon as possible, and that aid reaches Gaza rapidly and in vast quantities. 1/2

Important that the EU has adopted a 19th EU sanctions package against Russia. This includes robust new measures to target Russian earnings. We will speed up the phasing out of Russian liquefied natural gas. As EU, we are fully committed to turn off the tap on these fossil fuels. 1/2

At the Jordan International Police Training Centre, international partners work together to train Palestinian Authority security forces. Professional policing by Palestinians will also be important in phase 2 of the Gaza peace plan.

Great to meet again with Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi. Our countries share an excellent relationship. Next year, we will be celebrating 75 years of bilateral ties. We spoke about further strengthening our cooperation on migration, water & trade, and discussed the war in Ukraine. 1/2

Good to touch base with my Egyptian colleague Badr Abdelatty about the fragile Gaza ceasefire and the road towards agreement on next stages of the peace plan. We discussed our joint efforts to facilitate implementation and our contribution to Egypt's reconstruction conference.

The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan plays an important role in the stability of the region and is a valued partner of the Netherlands. During my visit, I aim to further strengthen our cooperation in the areas of humanitarian aid, security and sustainable development.

Honoured to meet His Royal Highness Prince Turki Al Faisal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. We had an insightful exchange on regional developments, including Gaza, Iran and Afghanistan, and discussed the importance of ending the war in Ukraine.

Interesting discussion with the Gulf Research Center on developments with regards to Gaza, Iran, maritime security and Yemen and how these are interconnected. Also exchanged ideas about how the Netherlands and the EU can strengthen cooperation with Gulf partners to foster regional stability.

Saoedi-Arabië is onze grootste handelspartner in de Golfregio. Vandaag sprak ik met Nederlandse ondernemers over Vision 2030 en over de kansen en uitdagingen die zij ervaren. De inzichten die zij delen, laten zien hoeveel potentie er ligt voor samenwerking en innovatie.

Saudi Arabia is our largest trading partner in the Gulf region. Today, I spoke with Dutch entrepreneurs about Vision 2030 and the opportunities and challenges that they experience. The insights they shared demonstrate the significant potential for cooperation and innovation.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is a key player in the Middle East. They are an important partner for stability and security in the region with significant geopolitical influence, and also our largest economic partner in the Gulf region. 1/2

Maximum pressure is the only way to force Russia to the negotiating table. We need to tighten the screws so that Putin stops his war of aggression. At today's #FAC, I urged for the swift adoption of new robust EU sanctions, including the listing of more shadow fleet vessels. 1/2

Full implementation of the first phase of the peace plan for Gaza is an essential step towards a future for Gaza without Hamas. Full and unhindered humanitarian access must be guaranteed immediately. We welcome the EU’s willingness to support the implementation of the plan.

Good to touch base with my dear colleague @jnbarrot.bsky.social in Luxembourg. We stand united with France in our commitment to a two-state solution in the Middle East, supporting Ukraine on all fronts, and ramping up pressure on Russia through biting sanctions.
